DETROIT — Cadillac says it will release its first "official" photo of the 2008 CTS on December 19, and the formal unveiling of the new model is tentatively scheduled for January 8 at the North American International Auto Show.

Who else is hoping this means an hour and twenty minutes? We'll bring it to you as soon as the embargo is released!

You mean it does? When is the "'08" supposed to go on sale: Jan 2 '07?? I know the '03 CTS went on sale 01-02-02.... this is getting somewhat ridiculous, IMO. Guess I'll find out in about an hour....

being that there is an embargo, do you [or anyone else from the site] actually have access to the embargoed photos pre-embargo? or are we just talking about getting it when it's released?

Pics aren't up yet. Knowing GM, it'll be awhile for them to be up anyway. Probably a few hours.

Either Edmunds was wrong, or it's a middle-of-the-day release, but I can't figure out why they'd do that.

This is lame! I think we were all hoping that the embargo would be broken exactly at 12am today but I think that we won't know until later tonight. I'm so glad I went to sleep early last night.
