December 21, 200619 yr LONDON, England (AP) -- Civil rights for robots? It could be coming. A study released by the British government says someday robots might become so advanced, they could demand their independence. The United Kingdom Office of Science and Innovation foresees the day when robots will be able to reproduce and think for themselves. But don't look for a robot revolution anytime soon. The study says independence for robots probably won't be much of an issue until the mid-21st century. Linkypoo

December 22, 200619 yr Author If you ever listen to the commentary on Futurama DVDs they occasionally talk about things like this, like asking who would build homeless robots then deciding that the robots were bulinding new robots themselves, and stuff like that.
December 22, 200619 yr it's all ways this or we make war robots and they would try to conquer us... man i liked the Earthsiege games!
December 22, 200619 yr Wouldn't it be simpler to just NOT program robots to 'think'? Hell, why build 'em at all? So some moron doesn't have to walk to the fridge to get a beer? We're fat enough already...
December 23, 200619 yr I'm assuming these robots will be built in Quebec. Edited December 23, 200619 yr by C.H.U.D.
