December 23, 200619 yr Loss of control? As long as one is driving sanely and cautiously, all of those electronic aids really aren't especially important. None of my cars (out of 4) have had an ABS system at all, or at least one that was functioning. The worse part regarding this service campaign would be the speedometer. At least it wasn't regarding transmissions or head gaskets though, right?
December 24, 200619 yr All of those models add up to just a little over 62,000 vehicles? They probably traced the defect to a certain lot of parts from a supplier. Could be that all of the parts a supplier made one day were potentially defective. With adequate quality control, you can trace those potentially defective parts to whatever vehicle they were installed in. Just a guess.
