I am open to anything decent - from "Casino Royale" to "Charlotte's Web" to "Babel."

Spring for Casino Royale.

No, no...seriously, go for Casino Royale.

"Casino Royale" was alright. A good Bond movie but not very memorable. It's action packed but not ridiculous like the more recent Bond films and for once, the villan is not trying to take over the world. That aspect is somewhat refreshing.

I've been dying to see "Borat" but I was extremely busy during the month of December and had little opportunity to see it with friends. Even though I'm currently on my winter break from College, I'm still running out of options. A lot of the theatres in my area are no longer showing that movie anymore. There is probably one or two theatres max and they're nowhere near me. Very discouraging.

I've been hearing very good things about "Children of Men". It's a similar type of movie to Babel in that it's political in nature but set in the near and somewhat bleak future.

If you're bringing children, try "Night at the Museum" It's a kiddie movie but has a lot of gags that Adults may enjoy.

The Good Shepard wasn't too bad, but very long.

The Good Shepard was very well done, quite interesting, ... and kind of depressing. But a good movie. Doesn't leave you with sunshine & lollipops, though.

Casino Royale is the best James Bond movie since On Her Majesty's Secrety Service. It is a return to world of Ian Fleming as shown in the 1960's films with Sean Connery and George Lazenby. The script is excellent, and Daniel Craig can really act.

I would be curious to see Borat, and I think that The Good German looks interesting as well, as it appears to be in the style of the 1940's film noir.

I really enjoyed The Departed, Blood Diamonds, Babel and Casino Royale.. The first three are definitely good dramas (though there is a bit of action/suspense in the departed). The Departed is a Scorcese directed remake of the HK movie Infernal Affairs.

The Good Shepherd was a well made movie but you have to be in the right mindset. If you don't catch the nuances and some of the dialog in this 2 hour and 40 minute movie, its impact will be lost.

A lot of votes for Casino Royale. So funny you would mention the above. I have seen so many of the mid-cycle Bond films over and over, with "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and "Diamonds Are Forever" being my favorites. "On Her Majesty's..." had the setting, that inimitable Irma Bundt (sp) as the villain (alongside Blofeld) and the best music of the whole series. (However, I do own a book that chronicles the James Bond films which says George Lazenby was a prima donna handful and as a result of this was not cast again). "Diamonds..." was my favorite of the Connery films, probably in great part to the Vegas locale and their casting of Jill St. John as Tiffany Case.

I might head to the Casino Royale matinee. Thanks, guys.
