So I noticed today someone put a very small ding in the front fender of the GTO

I took a picture, and it doesn't show up that well but you can see it because of the high-resolution. It's in a rather odd place and I'm not sure if it can be popped out, so I thought I'd ask to see if anyone knows.

The ding is in the upper part of red "circle," above the crease in the wheel flare.

It doesn't appear that the paint is broken. I'd check with your dealership and get the number of their Paintless Dent Repair specialist. Usually costs about $75-$100, way less than the conventional method of bodywork, and no paint match issues.

Without knowing how the GTO fender is made, that looks like it could be a fairly easy one for a PDR specialist to get out. Try this: jack the car up, and take the tire off and inner fender out. See if you can get your finger to touch the ding from behind. If you can, it should be child's play for an experienced PDR guy.

My GTO had a "factory" ding in the hood so I took it back to have it fixed under warranty. The PDR guy made a complete and invisible repair in about 5 minutes. I was very pleased with the result.

I'm not sure if anyone else has either tried this, or knows about it, but you could buy a little dry ice and try to pop it out. I had an older paint&body guy that buys all his paint supplies from us tell me about using dry ice to pop out little dents and dings that would take too long to fix traditionally (this is also before PDR became REALLY popular).
