January 15, 200719 yr http://www.carspin.net/forums/index.php?topic=7263.new#new Halleluah! Halleluah! This is beautiful! They did it right! Gorgeous! Official pictures will be released Jan. 18. :AH-HA_wink: Edited January 15, 200719 yr by MarioBro88
January 15, 200719 yr I moved this to where it belongs. Anyways, that does look very nice. The CTS now has some competition, it would appear. I think both look very good on the outside, though the CTS' interior is much more stylish.
January 15, 200719 yr Its the current one with a bodykit, or that's how it appears. Nice Envoy steering wheel. I'm sure quasi-professional females who like to think they're somebody will love this.
January 15, 200719 yr Eh... Northie... shouldn't this be under DaimlerChrysler instead? That steering looks nasty. I wonder if O.C. will complain that the dash isn't one piece with the console, since the C-Class doesn't offer bench seating with steering shifters... And the panel is still a mass of buttons, just like any European dash. Exterior looks OK, I guess. I don't understand what the guys on that forum were talking about no more hood star. There's a stand up ornament right there in the one with the regular non-sport grille.
January 15, 200719 yr I prefer the sport model with the emblem in the grill...the normal grill is too much. I like it...but I like teh CTS better, and the CTS will probably more sporty...and the CTS looks far better inside (when could you last say that about a Caddy?).
January 15, 200719 yr It looks like the new Caprice. I like the exterior, but the interior looks boring. I'm sure it's much smaller than the CTS thouhg, so we'll see how much they compete head-to-head.
January 15, 200719 yr Looks ok. Very much in the idiom of the newest MB models. At least they didn't botch it.
January 15, 200719 yr These aren't the best photos, but it appears that the Sport model will be the best-looking variant. I think I'll stay with the 3-Series, CTS, or A4...Mercedes' recent designs leave something to be desired, IMO. I wonder how the AMG version will look. Edit: I just noticed how the seats look almost the same as the ones in my mom's Venture, only with firmer side bolsters. Edited January 16, 200719 yr by DetroitNut90
January 15, 200719 yr It's odd to see the sport type grille on a regular 4dr.. that's one of things I don't like about the CLS grille--it just looks odd without the hood ornament (all Benzes should have the stand up hood ornament, IMHO).
January 15, 200719 yr Well with this redesign they are now only 4 years in design behind competition :AH-HA_wink: , can't realy say that I'm in love sorry, BMW, Infiniti, Caddy, or Audi please .
January 16, 200719 yr Pics are updated on that thread. I'm not that much of a Mercedes fan, but damn......that thing looks nice for a C-Class!
January 16, 200719 yr Nice exterior. But the interior is disappointment. It kinda looks cheap, may be because of the image quality. 4 spoke steering wheel for a 3-series competitor, puhleeze!!. Also powertrains are disappointing. When Infiniti, Lexus, BMW and now Caddy are gunning past the 300-hp barrier for the top of the line engines, MB retains its "anemic" 272 hp 3.5l and same about the other engines. I do not think MB, who wanted the entry-level luxury crown will get it anytime soon. I will give it 6.5/10 as my initial impression.
February 2, 200719 yr Looks ok. I still like the current C-class. I like the interior of the new CTS better too.
