Ok, This is interesting....

My wagon has heat..when it wants...

I turn the heat on-nothing comes out.

Pop the hook-tap the fan-instant heat.

Is something just stuck in there? Or could it be something more?

Could be a bad connection caused by a partially or completely broken wire. Pop off the cover where the blower motor is and have a look at things.

i need to shut my heat off turn fan to full speed and turn it back on to get the blower motor to work. but yeah sounds like a loose wire. or something.

As far as looking at it-it's going to be a while-it's going to be like 10-15 degrees for a while.... :censored:

No warm place to check it out.

It used to do this once in a while-but this freezing weather has really brought it out. When it got around zero, I was almost doing it every time I got into the car.

Thinking about it now-it could be either one.

Though I have a question-I would I know if the motor is going?

wire the motor directly to the battery and see if you can get it to run for a good while that way, then you're taking the blower motor relay or blower motor resistor out of the picture.

Oh man, this reminds me of last year when the smoke poured out of the Shadow's vents...it turned out that the wiring harness had corrosion on it, overheated, and melted. The mechanic wanted 200 bucks to fix it, and claimed the blower motor needed to be replaced...cost me a total of 15 bucks from the junkyard, and a little soldering. But yeah we had to go a month or so without any sort of ventilation in the car. While it was the dead d of winter....awful stuff. Luckily the blower motor was still good.

my heat was doing something similar (but it wouldnt work by fooling with the buttons) because she was low on coolant. added some coolant and the heat was back. but she would only blow hot when i was pumpin steam through the radiator (thats how low I was on coolant)
