February 25, 200719 yr I've had several people ask if I was going to do MC trivia again. I wasn't sure since it is a lot of work to coordinate between the various boards, keeping track of the answers and scores, but the fun of it outweighs the "work". Sssooo....in the spirit of former contests (MC Jeopardy!, Knight's Challenge, MC Express) ... this is MC Sampler! Items 1 and 2 are "Jeopardy!" style; Items 3 and 4 are "Wheel Of Fortune" style; Items 5 and 6 are Visual Multiple Choice. PRIZES: One reason I wasn't sure about doing a contest again is because I'm not sure what the individual prizes will be. If you have a suggestion, let me know. In the meantime, I'm considering the "prize" for the winning boards/forums will be free advertisements during my April radio shows...we'll see. RULES: This is first and foremost a FRIENDLY competition. Any and all concerns/questions should be directed to me PRIVATELY. All ANSWERS to the queries MUST be posted IN THIS THREAD. Do NOT research answers IN ANY WAY ... remember, if you were on a game show, you wouldn't have that chance. Answer ALL questions ... non answers/no response to an Item WILL be considered an INCORRECT response. For the "Jeopardy!" Round, all replies MUST be in the form of a question. For the "Wheel Of Fortune" Round, the letters PRNDS and E, as well as MC, OA are given. If you are on multiple boards/forums, you may participate in each. However, if you are the individual winner on multiple boards, you will receive only one prize. March 6, 200719 yr Author First and foremost ... to those who ARE participating ... THANK YOU! It appears prizes coaxed a few more participants ... but, not many. The number of participants is lower than I thought it would be, given the number of comments/requests to do more trivia after previous years' games ... and the various posts/threads that show everyone's knowledge about the Monte Carlo.... So, be that as it may, I apologize to anyone irritated by this thread/the trivia ... the goal was NOT to be a pest, but to do something fun, especially since we are all posting anyway.... March 20, 200719 yr Author Sorry, but in between getting ready for my radio show in April, work, and other commitments, I haven't had time to total everyone's scores for the next round. Sssooo...for those who haven't participated yet ... and would like to ... you still have some time to reply to ITEMS 3-6 and BONUS 7-9. If you're hesitant, I can tell you that, of the ones I have scored, some of the -3s came out of the "red" very quickly. So ... even joining late (with a -3 score for the first 2 Items), you still have a chance to win a prize. PLUS ... I know more of you know these trivia answers ... and it won't take you long to post your replies ... may take you quicker than posting to some other threads . Given that 3 of the boards do not have any participants (yet, anyway), I may give prizes to the participants in the top 15 or so of overall total points ... including, of course, those who win their respective board in total points. And, if you ARE participating, but haven't answered all of ITEMS 3-6 and BONUS 7-9, be sure to at least GUESS ... INCORRECT replies and NO REPLIES are the same (negative points). POST your responses IN THIS THREAD. PRIZES: Individual Winners from each board have several choices and can choose from ANY of the options...
