How Desireable Are Dodge Intrepids?

Apparently enough so that a woman would give her baby up for the downpayment... Clicky

"Pueblo, Colorado police arrested three people on charges of using a 5-month-old baby as a down payment on a car – not even a new car, but a used Dodge Intrepid. A young woman apparently tried to get a car and some cash and only had the baby to offer in exchange. Allegedly, Nicole Uribe gave the baby to Jose-Juan Lerma and his wife, Irene, for the down payment on the car. She also would have received an unspecified amount of cash, in addition to the car. The baby is now in a foster home, while the three suspects sit in a Pueblo jail with bail set at $50,000 each. After being tipped to the exchange on Monday, Police Sgt. Brett Wilson said they had Uribe in custody within hours. The Lermas were arrested Tuesday. All are being held on charges of felony child trafficking."

Wow.

That's pretty f@#ked up.

If only I had thought of that. I could have put Alex up front on my house and used the money I did put down on a pool and a VW Thing. On second thought, I like my kid too much.

That's actually not funny, but it was funny that a lady I work with just bought a used Intrepid last week, that looked exactly like that one... even the same color. We were watching the news at lunch time when it came on. The boss said "hey, look it's your new car"

...guess you had to be there...

why would to trade a kid for one when an amature Car thief can steal one in about 3 and a half minutes from spotting the car.

Heck, I watched a high school kid pop one open in less the minute on a bet...very interesting, I must say...

even if you have a kill switch you can still start the car from never opening the door. the main harness goes by the wheel well.so if your determined that car is yours.
