This is exactly what I'm talking about with the politicians

Trent Lott. The blowhard Senator from Mississippi gets our AE Quote of the Week for his remarks thanking Toyota at a news conference yesterday for the announcement of the new $1.3 billion Toyota plant that will be built near Tupelo: "When you're our constituent, we are warriors on your behalf, and I can assure you we will look after your interests." Oh, we bet you will, Trent, we bet you will.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. The politicians will go where the money is and they're not afraid to say it. (Because the majority of the american public knows that they're essentially worthless and out for themselves) So, expect Toyota to get a big boost from D.C. since the politicians can smell the money. They're like rats at a molasses factory, they'll just keep showing up and multiplying

So what would you say if GM wasn't in shrink mode and this was a GM plant that was being built?

Perhaps you will get your way and Toyota will open their next plant in Canada or Mexico.

It wouldn't change the fact that politicians are sleezballs and/or morons.

Lott is a criminal - plain and simple. We need congressional term limits. Period.

The more I thought about this thread the more annoyed I am about it. Is it me or does anybody else notice it feels like everybody is picking away at the US everywhere you look?
