March 9, 200719 yr I came into some money this week, so I decided to pay off my Pontiac Grand Prix GT & Chevy Equinox LT. Now I'm going to roll those payments into paying off my houses. I will be debt free in three years if I work hard at it.
March 9, 200719 yr I keep waitng top come into to money but it never happens Well stick to your plan, it'll pay off!
March 9, 200719 yr Congrats, my friend. Good luck in keeping with your plan, I never seem to be able to reisist buying more toys. Of course, having a wife and 2 kids keeps plenty of money going out of my hands as well.
March 9, 200719 yr Sweet! I have to wait about a year and a half for no more car payments.... I need to come into some money.
March 9, 200719 yr About 4.5 more years of car loans (in the unlikely even I keep the Fusion) and since I've only made 3 payments on my mortgage, a lot longer than that to go on the house.
March 9, 200719 yr I haven't had a car payment in two years, and I'm not inclined to start having one again anytime soon. I have about 10 years left on my mortgage. I could probably pay it off in five years, but with an interest rate of only 4.75%, it's hardly worth it, though I don't like being in debt.
March 9, 200719 yr My house, one credit card, and my truck. And that's enough. It would be awesome to be debt-free, but my addiction to new vehicles every few years contradicts that.

An extra $50-$100 a month on a mortgage payment can knock 10 years or more off a mortgage.... Edited March 9, 200719 yr by Oldsmoboi

March 9, 200719 yr An extra $50-$100 a month on a mortgage payment can knock 10 years or more off a mortgage....I'm trying to fit something like that into the budget, but doing so would mean forgoing the pool that I really really really want to get.
