WASHINGTON (AP) -- The FBI improperly and, in some cases, illegally used the USA Patriot Act to secretly obtain personal information about people in the United States, a Justice Department audit concluded Friday.

What's more troubling though, is the public's reaction to unconstitutional measures, like the one above.

The Patriot Act is horrible. It violates people's constitutional rights. Thanks Bush.

It wasn't a matter of if, but a simple matter of when this would happen. I'm not at all shocked. I'm more angry at the way the whole 'Patriot Act' (Don't you just love it when they come up with a name like that considering what the law really means. It makes me want to puke.) was passed with the lawmakers not bothering to fully understand what they were passing.

The fact that a group of people took the time to make that an acronym tells me all I need to know about the worth of the Patriot Act.

The Patriot Act has the original patriots redlining in their graves.
