This whole forum has been on a Chrysler bashing streak for months now.

I mean c'mon, Chrysler could line the interior with velvet, suede, leather, baby's ass, more wood than a forest and more metal than a steel factory and some people would still bitch at it.

Right.

All I would want from Chrysler is something that's average. They're bottom of the barrel right now. An average interior would be a huge improvement.

I'm not understanding the "let's bash Chrysler's interior quality" mentality so many share here when there are fewer GMNA vehicles with better-than-Chrysler quality than I have fingers on my right hand.

You have to be kidding. There's probably a GM vehicle in every class with a better interior than the respective Chrysler product in that same class.

I like how people get so mad that all of us are supposedly just bashing on Chrysler because we feel like it, and their interiors are really just fine. If their interiors were fine, then there wouldn't be so many people "bashing" (aka expressing thier opinion of them and feeling that they aren't adequate) them all the time. I don't understand how any of you can continue to defend them. If you don't care what the interior feels like and don't have the same standards as some of us, then that's fine; say so. I can understand if someone doesn't care much about the interior of their car and to them a nice interior isn't any different than a bad one because they just don't care. But if you honestly think that Chrysler's interiors are on par with other makes then you are smoking some good stuff.

Yes, Chrysler has been churning out some low-rent stuff here lately (the Caliber interior is appalling) but let's bash where bashing is due. Out of the two of them, GM is sitting the the forward seat of the dinghy, but both of them are still behind the yacht.

Chrysler was doing well until after the pacifica in my opinion. Their products(except for the 2nd gen cloud cars) were pretty well assembled and quality was good. To me Chrysler was best between 98-00. The cars had the most modern and sleek exteriors of the time and the interiors were well made.

Also, pricing was so much better. The "midsized" cloud cars ranged from $14-21k while most others started at around $19k. Stupid benz had to ruin everything.

Made a point to sit in just about everything I could when I was at the Detroit Auto Show, and there really isn't too big a difference between Chrysler's interiors or GM's or Toyota's or anyone else's...although Toyota's might have been better than I thought, I may have just been disillusioned because from what I'd heard, I thought the interiors must be made out of gold and pixie dust. I was pretty disappointed when I saw they use plain old boring plastic like everyone else.

I was pretty disappointed with the 300's interior I'll admit, but all the other Dodges, Jeeps and Chryslers I sat in looked just fine to me compared with everything else.

The one brand where I thought the interiors were legitamate $h! was Scion.

I'm with you. The jellybeans were innovative and fine in the 90's, but it was definitely time for a change! And the 300, and other new angular cars are a 180 from that styling.

Yeah, well some of you are fighting an uphill battle on this. The "others" currently do not have articles with Corp Execs, dealers, and engineers admitting to poor materials, fit-&-finish, etc and expressing the desperate need to improve it. I believe one even said it was horrific. Chrysler people are bashing themselves all on their own. Most of us are just in agreement.

Wow, before you start telling people what to do, maybe you should go back and read the article.

The only one that said anything was horrific, was a dealer.....and he was talking about the interiors of the 90's. Basically, everyone in the article said how bad the interiors were at one time, and that they think they are better right now....but how they want to go up another level to differentiate themselves from the competition.

All I have to say on this matter is I've wanted a 300C and Charger since they came out, and I won't buy one now that the lust has worn off a bit due to they're interiors. Also my buddy has a Jeep 65 Grand Cherokee, nice SUV and all....but its nothing special, and the interior is so dull and boring. The dash is entirely hard plastic from top to bottom, the door panels are no better. Even the lower map pocket on the drivers door has frayed edges and is uneven from when it was pulled from the mold. Lastly the caps that cover the screws in the A-pillars are misaligned and don't "sit" properly. And this is an interior that they put in a truck on an anniversary edition? As a side note, this has nothing to do with the actual interior, but not even 2 weeks after he bought this Jeep, the passenger side auto up malfunctioned, it would go up halfway then go back down on its own, and the speakers would cut out if the volume was raised to about halfway or just a notch or two higher....very poor build and material quality in Jeep's flagship....and I say flagship because the Commander is a joke.

I have always hated "cab forward" design.
