Surprisingly for its time and the fact that its a Cadillac, that car is extremely bland-looking. Probably the fact that is appliance white.

Here's a real find. If you passed up buying a Corvan because it was too tall...

Corvair Futura

The car you see before you was inspired by Kaiser Aluminum designer Rhys Miller. It was designed and engineered by Blake Larson whose life long desire to produce a practical concept car resulted in this unique design, in which he was also hands on in the construction.

His concept was to give the driver as much vision as possible and he therefore put the driver seat in the middle with center steering and two full car width seats behind the driver and a fully glassed enclosed area front and back (something you see coming out of Detroit in 2009 or 2010). He included the eye catching luggage rack and a glassed in area over the front portion of the car as part of the package.

This car is in complete full street restoration condition and has been recently tuned and checked out for driving conditions. The car is rust free and has an excellent paint job and a close to like new interior.

Unfortunately the gentleman who originally designed, engineered and hands on built this car has passed away and it is now being offered to become a unique car in any collection. The pictures should speak for themselves. It is important that this car goes to appreciative collector.

...a guy here locally did a frame up nut and bolt resto on a black on black on black one about 10-12 years ago that was just about out of this world. He eventually sold it, but it was really cool in that even the exhaust, headliner, hoses, etc. was genuine pontiac N.O.S. stuff.

That thing had one of the straitest black paint jobs I have ever seen on any car.

Why are you citing having an automatic as the reason for not buying the diesel Datsun when you have a spare manual five-speed car in your side yard? Buy it and swap transmissions.

And yeah, that '49 Cadillac is pretty horrendous. Some people don't realize that one of the reasons Hot Wheels exist is so we can spend a buck and see how $h!ty something will be in miniature so that we don't go out and spend thousands trying to do it to the real thing.

told me I have at least until the first week of April. If it is possible to buy that

LeSabre I will pull it off somehow.

The Maximas are too new. I'm starting to think I should never again own a car

that was made after I was born. (1979) The LeSabre HT in the above post is a

1976, the last year for GM hardtops so it's perfect.

Maybe I'll buy that and it will be my NEW car while my "older jalopy" is a B-59.

Yeah, I think so. Wasn't there a yellow 1977 Buick LeSabre 4dr

in the first Children of the Corn? I've always loved those, but

let's get real this one has a 455 and it's a 4dr hardtop.

On the other hand even a 1976 is kind of too "modern" for my

tastes but a pre-war car is not in the cards right now. I have

to slow down, my mind gets ahead of my wallett all too often.

Also, there's a chance that I will trade my B-59 LeSabre sedan

for a B-59 LeSabre flattop (hardtop) from Arizona. I put the

idea out there on B-59.com and there's a collector who wants

my car pretty bad and he's got a 1959 LeSabre 4dr hardtop

that he's bored with but it's a black Arizona car.

Match made in heaven.

But here's the cool part: HE will do all the legwork to get the car,

he said he'll fly out here to look at my B-59, then he'll pay to

fly me out to look at his B-59 and if we're both OK with the deal

he will drive up to Hershey in the fall with the car on a trailer &

we'll make the switch. I guess he's in the airline industry so he

is being more than fair. If I can get a Flattop 1959 in black in

the same condition as mine without any financial loss what so

ever than why the heck not?

I love my 2dr but hardtops are MY thing. I'll do it.

Also the only offers he's getting on his B-59 are from Europe

so if I don;t trade him for his B-59 it might not stay in the USA.

That's a win/win/win scenario, I'll keep you guys posted.
