March 28, 200718 yr I like it, actually. Though it slightly resembles the RDX from the A-pillar back.
March 28, 200718 yr Author They had a private showing of this, and the G37, at NAIAS. The EX does look better in person and interior is beautiful.
March 28, 200718 yr Looks nice. Is it based on the smaller FM chassis, G35 sized not M/FX sized. I can't get the larger rear pic to open but from the small picture it seems a little Subbie Tribeca like, though I like that rear I am not sure that others do. If produced would this slot like a G35 wagon?
March 28, 200718 yr They had a private showing of this, and the G37, at NAIAS. The EX does look better in person and interior is beautiful. Ooooh, I bet. I like Infiniti's interior designs of late.
March 28, 200718 yr Not bad but not anything I'd get excited over. Looks like an x3. Real original. I love BMW but this looks much better than the X3.
March 28, 200718 yr The front end works better here, but it looks like a direct copy of the G37's nose. A similar styling theme is fine, but this is worse than MB or BMW for how similar the nose is to the G37. A-pillar back it looks rather weird.
March 28, 200718 yr I like the X3's exterior better, but I'm willing to bet that this will have a nicer (less depressingly bland) interior.
March 28, 200718 yr It's alright but I'm getting a strange Enclave vibe from it. The rear end is too Tribeca and RDX-ish. I hate the D-pillar, too. Can't wait to see the interior.
March 28, 200718 yr One of the secrets, imo, of a successful luxury car company is design cohesiveness across the model range... witness Cadillac, Benz, BMW... Infiniti's designs have been all over the map. This looks good and fits with the family. One of the better looking Datsuns. While I've always liked the FX, the design is out of the blue.
March 28, 200718 yr I think it looks really cool. The small luxury SUV segment is really emerging."Lower-midsize" rather than small—this is within an inch or so of the footprint of the previous X5. Unless they change it dramatically it will be a stretch to call this an "SUV" or even "crossover"—drivers in regular awd and even some fwd wagons will be able to look down on you, and the Yaris, Versa, Fit, xA, xD hatchbacks are all less than 2" lower. The closest vehicles in size and proportion to the EX are the Opel Signum and similar E-segment hatchback concepts: E-segment Hatches Wheelbase Length Width Height Toyota FSC 2800 110.2 4620 181.9 1800 70.9 1520 59.8 Lancia Granturismo 2803 110.4 4620 181.9 1920 75.6 1410 55.5 Infiniti EX Concept 2800 110.2 4630 182.3 1800 70.9 1575 62.0 Opel Signum 2003 2830 111.4 4636 182.5 1798 70.8 1466 57.7 Opel Signum 2005 2830 111.4 4651 183.1 1798 70.8 1466 57.7 Audi Roadjet 2850 112.2 4700 185.0 1850 72.8 1550 61.0
March 30, 200718 yr nice. looks like a puffy mazda3. this is another example of why sedans are being abandoned. everyone wants crossovers. well, not everyone, but generally more and more folks are abandoning sedans. Edited March 30, 200718 yr by regfootball
April 9, 200718 yr I love it. It's beautifully done. A little too similar to the RDX in the back, but I don't care. I've always had a penchant for Infinitis and newer Nissans. If I wasn't such a GM slut I would own them instead.
April 13, 200718 yr Here are some interior Pics of the concept. Kinda looks like a next generation G35 interior. Interior Photos
April 13, 200718 yr i don't like the interior. it's funny. lot's of crossovers have the tall trucky look, but this one dangerously straddles the low wagon look. it's just tall enough, like the CX-7 to 'not be a wagon' but not as blocky as most other crossovers. so is this a 'sports crossover' then? (new segment?) i mean, it does kind of look like a sedan with a truncated trunk that is just 'enough' taller than a true 'car'. Inifiniti really nailed the proportions to make it look appealing to crossover shoppers and sport sedan buyers, IMHO. too bad the interior ruins it. if it were more G35 and less Jaguar i might like it. this really shames the acura products on looks BTW.
