April 2, 200718 yr I look at my web home page and there's a link to "campus shooting." Unbelievable: it's at the University of Washington in Seattle More unbelievable: in the Architecture Building They weren't students, per se, but it was a murder-suicide between a research associate and a man who was obviously obsessed with her. One of thinks of smug, morose, safe Nordic Seattle and this is hard to believe. On the South End, maybe. But on the UW campus? I rarely visit the place as I want to forget the school experience there. However, if I ever do, it will be creepy. Edited April 3, 200718 yr by trinacriabob
April 2, 200718 yr You went to U of Ill too, right? There were five armed robberies this past weekend (all of them Saturday night). Apparently a person was targeting people who were walking alone and approached them, stuck out their gun and told them to hand over their money.

I walked home from the campus to West Champaign for 3 years in all kinds of weather.Yeah, I went to U of Ill. for a typical daytime program and went to U W at night for an evening degree for working folks. These must have been done by the same person and in a concentrated area. When they get these people, they need to pay in a big way (throw away the key).
April 2, 200718 yr Campus crime is the problem no one wants to discuss or talk about. It is a problem college campuses need to start addressing. I work at a major university and they have done reports about it. Too often people let their guard down on campus and are too casual and think it is a crime free place. All too often when campus are presented to potential students and parts, they never really talk about that aspect.
