April 17, 200718 yr First time I remember there being school cancaletion due to rain. Sweet, now I have an extra day to study for the test I was supposed to have. The flood levels look as bad as they did last May. Maybe I'll get pictures for all to see later. But first, I sleep. It's a good day.
April 17, 200718 yr Ah, school's out on account of flooding? Never had that before. I've only had schools close down due to worse-than-predicted snow. And bomb threats.
April 17, 200718 yr They haven't canceled classes here in decades... if there's a huge blizzard they just send out an email saying "be careful".

April 17, 200718 yr It's better to not cancel. Schedules get totally screwed up, and saving one day comes back to bite you in the ass when you have 1 less lecture to cover the same material (all my classes only have 2 lectures a week). Plus, you paid for the time you're missing.

Plus, you paid for the time you're missing. This is true but a lot of the classes I have have nothing to do with my major...they're just "required" You know, so the school can get more money. I find them pointless. Some of them are interesting, others are not and have horrible professors. This semester would consist of the latter.
April 17, 200718 yr When I was in university, the road up the hill to the school was a little icy, so school got closed. I got kind of pissed off because there was no snow, and I was paying for school, and therefore, didn't get my money's worth for that week. There was no make up classes or anything.
