What is that car????

Featured Replies

There's a car that I've seen twice in my life..It's from the 90's I think. Above the beltline is all glass...There are windows within the windows...if that makes sense. From what I remember, the whole top of the car is glass(safety issues?).

Anyone have any idea?

Here's my "extremely well" drawn diagram:

Um... Are you sure the entire greenhouse is glass? Otherwise, it sounds like you are talking about the Subaru SVX.

The SVX:

 That is quite the coincidence to both use the same picture at the same time.

I see two different green SVXs every day. They're so cool, I want one.

That flat-6 sounds cool, too. They were like Subaru's Thunderbird.

I like that "extremely well" drawn diagram Raven!

Funny how the next pic is the real car, in the same color.

A great design by Giugiaro.

Those were neat cars...a friend of mine used to have a white one...he traded it on an Audi S4 back around 2001.

That design is weird, yet so intriguing. I don't think I've ever seen one on the road. I bet it'll make a great collector's car.

Guigaro has an impressive list of automotive flops credited to his name.

Subaru's ThunderTurd? I'll drink to that.

Often times while intoxicated I write in my old nasty notebook full of

Craigslistings for 1929 Chevys & WantAd phone numbers for 1961

Buicks & such I just write whatever f*%#ed up stuff comes to mind.

One day I wrote down something that was kind of funny.

If in the early 1980s Subaru had an STX

Then in the early 1980s Subaru had the SVX

So logically, going with the Alphabet and chronology that means at

some point in the late 80s or early 90s there was a Subaru SUX

The get a 1:43 scale model and call it a day.

You can probably rebuild your entire Buick for the amount of money

you will spend on maintenance for that car for one year. They have

flat-6 pancake motors, Front-Biased AWD and all kinds of electonic

problems/overcomplication. Not to mention parts availability.

And they only come in Automatic. <_<

They really are damn cool cars. If I came across one like I did with my Millenia, I would probably add a third car to my personal stable.

Good, that just leaves MORE cool domestics for the rest of us. :P

Too bad there isn't a domestic vehicle from the 90's that's actually cooler than it. Boxer engine, AWD, unique styling, advanced technology (for its time), luxurious interior, and decent performance etc. :D

fixed

Heh... They all run and are in good shape. Not quite a junkyard :P
