Ode To The Sunfire

Hmmmm, it seems every car you have is a pain in the butt, what or should I say who is the common denominator here? :scratchchin:

Its certainly not a who. We've had good cars... Our 96 and 00 Grand Ams were decently reliable. They were also the only two new cars we've had (and the only two I could really say a "who" affected anything; my mom learned to drive stick with the 96 and consequently screwed the transmission while she wrecked the 00 which was trouble free until then). The rest were used (and weren't put up to much abuse). The Blazer was absolute crap and the Sunfire is quickly catching up with it.

Meanwhile, my 12 year old, 172k mile Millenia is putting a 5 year old 95k mile car to shame and I can guarantee you I run it harder than my mom runs the Sunfire. Hell, I haven't driven much since the beginning of winter and I've still put more miles on my Millenia (owned it for 11 months) than she has put on the Sunfire (owned it for 1 year, 1 month).

I realize that... but I still wanted to make everything clear. :D

Custom-S just loves to flirt. Lordy. :AH-HA_wink:

Well...Hmmmm...

Here's a comment from the J body expert: Set it on fire and collect the insurance now. It's going to be toast soon.

Any kind of smoke coming out of a 2.4 before 100k is a really bad sign.

And I'm willing to bet there will be a coolant issue not too far down the road.

And 76 should be right on-head gasket-common on the 2.4 Js..

Sorry BV...

Stupid $h!ty Sunfire.....
