its possibly the new 2009 chevy cobalt.

i just got my june issue of motor trend. they state " The cobalt will feature a new chevy-icon horizontally split grill in the idiom of the new malibu.and will retain its own body styles".

I have a lot to say about this.

This is not a Kappa... you have to be drunk to see that.

Is no Cobalt either... thats just stoopid.

Now... I'm sure its either a 'Bu coupe or Impy.

It's prolly not a 'Bu cuz it IS in the RWD studio. It could be a Camaro sized FWD 'Bu coupe that would boast more space than Camaro, which would be the specialized sports car kinda like Camaro and Beretta back in the 90's. It's prolly there to compare with the RWDs for styling.

Also, i 4get who said it first, but I would love if Impala was a two car thing... I would like for there to be an Impala coupe and sedan... the Impy name does deserve a coupe. The Impala coupe could be more spacious and RWD.

I hadn't thought of that!

A 2 door Imp and A 4 dr also, I think if they do that the 4 dr would have to be a Caprice.

......but who knows

It could be a 2nd gen. inspired version of the Camaro concept...

More and more, I think this is just an early design illustration of the Camaro. It would make sense, GM wouldn't put anything in a picture that they didn't want there, and it is probably up for a "design process" feel.

I don't understand why everyone thinks it's a coupe. It looks like a sedan to me. Also, why would they have that design proposal hanging on the wall if it was a Camaro proposal from 2+ years ago? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Because it's a photo op and it makes sense to have things highlighting the design history of the new Camaro in it?

But it's not even a coupe. I never thought it looked like a coupe (looks like it has a Lexus-like C-pillar), and just encase that isn't good enough, AH-HA confirmed it's not a coupe:

Contrary to what some other boneheads are saying, it's not a Monte or Chevelle. Hell, it's not even a coupe, the perspective and grainy image are throwing everyone off. Sometime the simpliest explanation is the real one. :AH-HA_wink:

I guess this passes for fun in some parts.
