May 15, 200718 yr As I was on I-95 on my way home today I see this birght, lime green thing in my rear view mirror, as it pulls up beside me I look and see a Lamborghini Gallardo. It had 30 day tags with today's date, the guy had just bought it.
May 15, 200718 yr '65 Corvette convert, medium yellow, doing 75 on I-287. '70-72 Corvette hardtop, light blue, perfect, parking in driveway. '70-72 Corvette convert, med red, perfect, driving. '69-70 Olds Toronado, white, tired, on flatbed. '71 Riviera, gold, hauling ass on local street.

May 15, 200718 yr For the Trans Am lovers, blue one still had the plastic on the seats, less than 5k miles, asking 32K
May 16, 200718 yr Author God damn I want that Apachee! Now THAT'S patina right there. Here's a few more I managed to photograph, the two cars I did not manage to capture on my digital was a 1968/9 Corvette in hugger orange & a green 1970/1/2... Here's a few I did manage to photorgaph. At the local AutoZone: XP was nice enough to let Sofia take the Razorback for a spin. Sofia has also gotten into the habit of saying she likes HER yellow Cadillac. Not even three and a half and she's a certified car nut!
May 16, 200718 yr All right y'all, I'm going to have to take a road trip up your way Sly. There are too many cars up there for me to see. I haven't really seen anything down here to jump around after, so I can't report anything interesting.
May 16, 200718 yr Author Another bizzare sighting: same driveway: Seen on the Lowell Connector, more than a few RWD, BOF American cars were in the mix. And one more of the 1969 Cadillac Miller Meteor End-loader Hearse:
May 16, 200718 yr Author Anyone ever hear of a Mirage Monza? It was a first for me. 76 Trucker: Oh yeah... I say ou do it. I'll show you the TIGHT WHIPS collection and you can check out our coveted Tight Whips Museum, which contains such items as a smushed 1968 Camaro fender, blown up rear end pumpkin that looks like a shotgun was used, air cleaner off of 350 Rocket from a 1977 Cutlass Supreme.... sedan and also a 1996 Stang Cobra fender that was used to paint a tree. As far as the classic cars up here, I'll have to step it up a bit. You ain't seen NOTHIN' yet!
May 16, 200718 yr Well, most of the classics I see are at the monthly cruise-ins, and this month I'll have to get my butt out there with the camera and take some shots.
May 21, 200718 yr Author The guy in the neighborhood with a butternut yellow 1966 Buick Skylark ragtop is selling it so it's been on his front lawn for a while now. Then there's the gorgeous 1970 Chevelle SS I saw yesterday... it was a dark-teal metallic. Gorgeous, masculine color. Som other's that I have seen over the weekend. - 1965 Plymouth Valiant 2dr (original black paint) - Green BMW 2002 (1974?) - scummy red 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 ragtop - 1976 Buick LeSabre 4-door hardtop, painted "monkey $hit brown"... in my driveway!
May 23, 200718 yr The Monza Mirage was a special edition, with a body kit made to look like the IMSA (?) roadrace Monzas. It was called "Mirage" because it was made to fool the onlooker into thinking it was the actual race car. I saw a spotless, pristine 1978 Chevette 5 door in light green/tan in Ocean City this weekend. Among others.
May 23, 200718 yr Saw a Silverado Hybrid yesterday - first one I'd seen on the road. Also, got a call from my dad last weekend. He's retiring and moving to Satty's neck of the woods (actually a bit south of there, to Table Rock Lake). Said he had some power tools that didn't sell in his yard sale and asked if I wanted them. Being a fan of power tools, I said sure. 'OK, I'll be over in a bit'. He rolls up in a brand new red 2WD 2007 Silverado C2500 extended cab. *Nice* rig. He got the 6.6L Duramax with the Allison tranny and the LT2 package. He's absolutely loving it so far. It's got effortless power, and he's averaged about 20 MPG, not bad for a 3/4 ton truck. This is his first diesel, and I don't think he'll go back to a gas engine any time soon. -RBB
May 23, 200718 yr Saw a bunch of neat stuff yesterday in the Dover/Portsmouth NH area when I was out with the girl yesterday: -1976 Cadillac Coupe DeVille -1968 Cadillac Coupe DeVille convertible -1958 Chevrolet Biscayne four door post -1959 Chevrolet Biscayne two door post -1973 Plymouth Fury coupe -1940 Buick Century -1955 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight four door post
May 24, 200718 yr Author The most gorgeous Peterbilt 179 I've seen in a long time... in hugger orange driving through the back-bay of Boston with a huge load of sewer pipes on the trailer.

May 25, 200718 yr Hey Sly, just for giggles and grins, look at Optimus Prime in the new Transformers movie, he's a Pete 379...and quite beautiful.
May 25, 200718 yr Also saw a sweet Yellow 71 Corvette with just perfect to die for Chrome near work yesterday. The rumble from the exhaust sounded healthy. Chris
May 25, 200718 yr 2 SSR's...one silver one black a gray Avenger SXT and a black Avenger R/T a silver Sebring Touring a Delorean a red Acadia and a silver Acadia a gray Durango SLT a Magnum SRT-8
May 26, 200718 yr In the town right next to me, on the way to work, I pass a yellow 2007 Saturn SKY Redline. Other than mine and supposedly a red base SKY in the town on the other side of me, still very few SKY sightings. The other morning on the way to work, a yellow (you could tell it's the original paint) 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula. I see it later on in the day parked outside of a local car mechanic, which incidentally has several '50s/'60s cars (need to pull into the lot over the weekend to see what exactly they are). Now that the weather's nice, I'm seeing all sorts of convertibles - yellow, dark teal & red SSRs, late model bright red Viper, 2002-2004 black Ford T-bird. Acadia's are multiplying on my local roadways - red jewel coat, carbon metallic, silver seem to be the popular colors so far. Two OUTLOOKs recently, both silver - on XE and one XR (seen in Atlantic City on Tuesday). No Enclave at the local BPG dealer yet. Classics galore on the weekends. Usually going the opposite direction, so it's hard to tell at times what they are. Mostly ID'd early-to-mid '50s Chevies and Fords though.
May 27, 200718 yr Red Jeep Patriot dark green Tundra black Silverado a silver and a green Wrangler Unlimited

May 27, 200718 yr On the dealer lots today: new style VUE XE AWD in white. Bleh. This thing could have a Kia emblem on it. Also another surefire non-classic: new style xB in "Hypnotic Teal Mica". With automatic and floor mats, over $17k. A travesty.
May 28, 200718 yr As a current xB owner I'm not sure I like the new xB either... And 17k will take away from sales for sure. Chris
May 28, 200718 yr a slammed `63 Imapla `73 Gran Turismo that proudly said "American Badass" on the deck

May 29, 200718 yr Dealer hopping is fun... First, I found a car I rarely see, but are somewhat popular on C&G thanks in part to a certain Admin. Second, I came across a car that I absolutely fell in love with. Course... That happens every week or so, but regardless, I did. Yes, a first gen Aurora. I always see second gen Auroras, but rarely a first. Sadly, this one was the first I was able to actually sit in. I must say... It's not as roomy and comfortable as Fly made me believe. It has slighty more room inside than my Millenia. The big advantage being width. As well, the seats seemed small and I'm a small guy. This is the first time I've ever felt the need to actually adjust the headrest so it wasn't protruding into my back. Otherwise, as I've mentioned before, I love these Auroras. This particular one was sort of falling apart... has 190k miles and must have been abused. T'is a 1995 VW Golf GTI VR6 with a 5spd. BV likes. Its such a small, cute car... That's has a sinister side to it.
May 29, 200718 yr Cool GTI, Vipes. My favorite car ever was my '00 GTI 1.8T. It was so darn versatile... practical, luxurious, quick, fun to drive...
