May 5, 200718 yr This happened on I-95 southbound in Delaware today! MMMMMM! I love the smell of roasted Ford! At least I think it was a Ford, all that was left was ashes! Edited May 5, 200718 yr by Pontiac Custom-S
May 5, 200718 yr Yeah, that was a Sport Trac....ironically there's a silver one on the bed of that truck in that 2nd picture! Edited May 5, 200718 yr by Dodgefan
May 5, 200718 yr That would just ruin your whole day, wouldn't it? If for some &*^$#$% reason I owned a "Sport Track" I would be thrilled that I get insurance money so that I can get something worth owning, like an Avalanche.
May 5, 200718 yr You guys got it all wrong see since the Sport Trac is a Ford it spontaneously combusted and the Toyota driver was looking at that when it rear ended another car. Hence the damage.
May 5, 200718 yr I spy... a white Avenger in the top pic! It's a rental. Just joking... no, not really. The odds are in my favor.
May 5, 200718 yr I spy... a white Avenger in the top pic! White Avenger? Sounds like some sort of racist vigilante. :AH-HA_wink:
May 5, 200718 yr Whoa...and on a stretch of highway I'm on a lot. Talk about spontaneous combustion! Edited May 6, 200718 yr by caddycruiser
May 6, 200718 yr "Lawfirm Jones and Macguire has launched a class action on behalf of Ford Explorer Sportrac owners, alleging the vehicle is prone to fire in low-speed rear-end collisions, presenting a hazard to life and property. Plaintiffs are seeking the recall of all vehicles and damages of $1,000,000 for every Sportrac owner."
May 6, 200718 yr EDIT: Anyone else notice the base white '08 Avenger in the first pic? Kind of a side note, but the first time I've seen one in real world motion, even if it is a pic. I spy... a white Avenger in the top pic! It's a rental. Just joking... no, not really. The odds are in my favor.
May 6, 200718 yr Author White Avenger? Sounds like some sort of racist vigilante. :AH-HA_wink: Well it is Delaware! Y'all come back now!
May 6, 200718 yr Uh... yeah? Camino: Yes, you can tell when it's an ADD day, because I'll completely miss things like that...oy...fixed now.

May 6, 200718 yr Something about the vantage point of the photos has me concerned. Was Custom-S hiding in the bushes waiting for a Sport Trac so he could shoot its tires and cause a Camry to rear-end it? Talk about extreme GM fans... :AH-HA_wink:
May 6, 200718 yr Where is the vehicle that got rearended by the Crapry if that theory holds? :AH-HA_wink:
May 7, 200718 yr I really don't think the Camry caused the Sport Trac to catch fire... I mean, the fuel tank is under the middle of the Ford. There's nowhere near enough damage to the rear end of it. In one shot, the Ford's bumper doesn't even look like it was hit... it is intact. You may be right... there had to be a second gunman. Perhaps there was another vehicle slowing down to rubberneck at the Explorer and it got popped by the Yota.
