Is Chevrolet going to bring out a RWD Monte on the same platform as the Camaro or the Imapala?

Camaro and Impala are on the same platform -- Zeta.

The word is that there won't be a replacement, it's no longer part of the plan (at least for now).

Bums me out a bit as it was to be called Chevelle.

Camino-As much as id like a RWD coupe to be a chevelle, theres a lot of equity in the name, and no matter how perfect you make it, there'll be alot of people against using the chevelle name...the monte name has been on a FWD car for over a decade... so anythings an improvement....thats just my opinion..

Well, its a moot point anyway since the large Chevy Zeta coupe isn't going to happen now.

They SHOULD build a Chevelle on ZETA, just for a few years... then when

demand for the Monte Carlo is up again and Chevrolet needs some good

P.R. they can bring the Monte back just like they did with the Camaro.

Hmmm...not so sure I'd be thrilled about Chevy bringing the Monte Carlo back because they need some good PR......

No.

So is the Pontiac G6 supposed to be the sole GM offering to compete with the Camry Solara, Accord, Altima, and Sebring Coupes?

ao unless there is a big surge for a larger RWD Coupe that is unforseen I would not hold my breath for one.

If they can't gibe away a mid size coupe not a new one will not do much better. Having a Camaro would finish off the second car anyway.

Coupes are just not in that big of demand a company needs one in each line.
