I met up with my old friend Dustin in Ocean City this weekend. When I left Maryland in 2003, he was working at the dealership there as sort of a gopher. Now, he has his own bodyshop with 3 fulltime employees, and he is specializing in restoration work, hot rods and muscle cars. He and his crew did the paint and bodywork on this flawless Nova, which has been appraised at $300k. Every body seam has been smoothed, the firewall and dash cut out and custom-fabricated, the drip rails have been molded in. Only the best of everything went into this Nova, which was completed 2 years ago. The owner is selling it, and he had nothing but praise for Dustin. I am proud of this kid.

God, who let a group of 3 year olds with angle grinders and a tub of Bondo loose.

Looks real clean, but c'mon; it's a Nova. I just don't get putting that much coin into something so incredibly common.

Balthy, I understand where you're coming from, but I think it's better to build something this outrageous from something like a Nova than it would be to cut and alter something rarer that should be preserved in factory form. In the Nova's case, only the exterior sheetmetal is relatively stock... every other aspect of the car has been modified. It has become much more than a common Nova.

Raven, yes you do. I love B-bodies as well. I think Custom-S was giving his own opinion of the Nova in his post, not critiquing yours.

The whole Pro-street, back half, thing isn't for me, but the work is impressive.

Oh, and Novas can be great performance cars as they are essentially a Camaro with a different body. The subframes are nearly identical and they are quite light for their size.

I'll take a 396 SS version with a 4spd. ,please. :AH-HA_wink:

EDIT: A Yenko Duece or a Baldwin-motion 454 would work too!
