One broke my mirror!



On my way to school today, I hit a deer. It wacked its head off my mirror and brushed against the side. That popped the actual mirror off and since my car was/is dirty, put some nice scratches on the side. They can probably be buffed out, though.

It's hard to explain why I hit it. I saw them, but I never slowed. I kept on going. Once it hit I was literally like "What the..?" I must have been half asleep or something. I guess this just tells me I need to start drinking Coffee in the morning. :D

You got off easy, Vipes. The highest repair bill I can remember from a deer hit: $11,000 on a Sedan DeVille involving the front end and replacing the roof and windshield.

I hit a deer broadside doing 100 MPH once. Did a bit more damage than what happened to your ride. When I hear deer/car stories, I always think of one a friend told me he witnessed: a guy hit a deer with his truck, stopped, jumped out with a big hunting knife, slit it's throat & threw it into the back and drove off. Wouldn't it be great if deer were some sort of benefitial contribution to our lives instead of just looking sweet & harmless?

i feel ur pain tho if you live in the mitten state or michigan who hasnt hit a deer up north or noes some on that did and if you say no your wrong because you no me and i hit a deer. so ha.

the funiest one is while my uncle parked his truck right after he shut it off the deer smashedc into the bed lol. i think deer have a thing against early 90's chevy and GMC's :angry:
