GM bringing 1,200 jobs to Pontiac

Featured Replies

Good read.

Congrats, I like to see people work close to home if they can. Just a 15 minute ride for me to the Wilmington plant, that is when I'm not working from home. :P

Good to hear..some positive news for Michigan.

The only downfall is everyone working there will have to pay Pontiac taxes. I worked in Pontiac many years ago and had to pay taxes with every paycheck, but it was minimal then. I don't know what the taxes are like now.

What they are not telling you is that the 1,200 jobs are already filled because everyone is transfering from other test facilities. It is not like you can go apply for a job and get hired that day, or am I just trying to explain what is already known from the article?

We know. The point is the jobs will all be consolidated IN Pontiac, helping the city, therefore, being good news.
