Hint #3 - Its not a domestic.

scion tc = 'hallowed' performance sports car =

Hilarious..the tc is a just a cheap econobox..nothing special.

Wait... I thought I read "performance sedan"... Opps. Um... Eclipse?

Not sure if it is the answer you are looking for but I think automatic Miatas come with a 4 speed auto.

Chris

...and the TC is built on a sedan chasis, it is not a performance car.

Subaru Impreza?

The foreigner wins!

Yup, the brand-new hallowed-in-some-circles performance sports car 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX comes with a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual.

Who's behind the times now?

How do I collect my cookie?

That's not exactly a class leading feature, but with the car's new exterior styling I wouldn't care if tit (freudian slip, hehe - I meant to write the word 'it') had a 10 speed automatic :nono:

Yeah that was going to be my second answer, but I held back since the WRX was introduced in US in 2001.

Remember it has some GM DNA of 10% stakes(That is what GM-haters will say) hence the 4-speed.

Strange that Subaru is so behind... of course, the previous WRX was painfully ugly, the new one still is also, now with a hatchback version...

Two wrongs don't make a right.

The 4 speed auto should be banished from cardom. Subaru is in the midst of taking alot of criticism for not updating the drivetrain (engines carryover as well) for the new Impreza. The styling hasn't exactly bowled anyone over either...

Subaru will eventually become nothing more than a division of Toyota, much like Saab & GM.

Very sad. They're one of the few Asian makes that march to the beat of their own drummer.

I'd like to shoot whoever designed the outside of the new WRX.
