Been thinking....

If I were to get rid of the Riviera and no one wanted to buy it, would it be possible to put the interior into my Delta 88? The reason I'm think about this is because my favorite part of this generation Riviera is the dashboard and interior as a whole. It's retro enough to where it could work with an older car and yet modern enough to have the features I'm now used to. The comfy leather seats, the center console and arm rest. The dash and doors panels becoming "one" Besides the obvious needed measurements, what other challenges would lie ahead in trying to do this?

No advice guys? :hissyfit:

A car as new as your Riv has electronics that are much more integrated into the whole vehicle than your Delta. How would you get power to the instrument cluster, for example. I think your Riv has a BCM that controls a lot of functions in that dash, and it is linked to the ECM.

I once saw a Pontiac Fiero in ebay that had the dash from a 4th gen Firebird in it...huge improvement. It can be done I'm sire...but it would take a lot of work. I lovethe Riviera's dash.

ocn, I'm just talking a swap of the actually dash, not the gauges and so on...I wuld have digital gauges fabricated to fit the stock Riv dash holes...besides I'm not a big fan of the font and look of the factory gauges. The radio will be sawped out, and the climat control unit is around the same size as my Tempmatic unit, so I'll just make a faceplate to fill any gaps...the door panels obviously will not work, my Delta is a 4 door and The Riv's doors are about twice as long. The rest of the interior can stay stock Delta....I'm mainly looking to do the dash, console and seats....maybe have door panels made that meet the dash like in the Riv.
