July 15, 200718 yr ...and I couldn't talk smack. Went to Maryland today to my cousin's son's graduation party. They live on a farm, and had one of their pastures opened up for parking. The lot was brimming with Ford trucks, and I didn't have my Sierra to do a smackdown... I had to drive my mom's Cobalt! I was so mad! :AH-HA_wink:
July 15, 200718 yr No Sierra needed. All you needed to do was ask them whether they were on their second or third transmission. How's Mom's Cobalt doing anyway?
July 15, 200718 yr All you [need] to do [is] ask them whether they [are] on their second or third transmission. That could also work when talking smack about a Camry ...
July 15, 200718 yr Author Mom's Cobalt is doing fine, although she doesn't care for it. She says it is harder to get in and out of than her clown car Echo. I was driving 70-75 down the interstate and it drives nice. There were some Powerstrokes there... I could have asked how many weeks of downtime they've experienced. :AH-HA_wink:
July 15, 200718 yr Hey Ocn, Not to hijack your thread, but since you've had your truck for a while, are there any options you would change if you had it to do again?
July 15, 200718 yr I few days ago I noticed a block party with quite a few Ford trucks... Ahhh...they're everywhere! :AH-HA_wink:
July 15, 200718 yr Author Not really, usonia. I got the highest trim level I could get in a regular cab shortbed configuration, SLE1, which came with all the power options and the mid-grade upholstery, which is nice. It came with foglamps, which I wanted, and aluminum rims, keyless entry, remote start, etc. The only thing I miss is maybe a sliding rear window. GM's trucks come with rear window defoggers, which are kind of moot on a regular cab especially, since the regular HVAC system quickly clears all the windows. I knew it would come with black mirrors and door handles, so I ordered the GM-accessory chrome mirror caps and handles, which I feel really set it off. I think this truck is optioned perfectly for me, I really like it so far.
July 15, 200718 yr The Echo is a very easy car to get of yet exceedingly difficult for anyone with self-respect to get in
July 15, 200718 yr YOU: How's that 3rd headgasket working out on your F350 powerstroke w/ 20,000 miles? THEM: I've experienced exactly ZERO camshaft failures in my 7 Ford trucks... unlike my neighbor's 2007 Tundra
