My Dad Has An Addiction For Toys...

My dad decided to buy another motorcycle. A classic 1975 Honda XL175 with an extremely low 340 miles.

It runs pretty well for having sit in someone's basement for decades. It's rusty in spots, but overall it's in decent condition. All original and as I mentioned, has only 340 miles. Has a small fuel leak and the clutch sticks sometimes, but that's basically all that's wrong with it. He heard about it from a coworker who didn't want it anymore.. He couldn't resist it. This, after he told me he couldn't afford to help out with the distributor I need. I have no idea what he paid for it, exactly, but I'm quite positive that it was more than $400. :P

Cool bike...I spy with my little eye...a flaming $h! in the background!

BV, do you have a job? :P

BV, do you have a job? :P

Living 8 miles out of town and lacking transportation means no job for the moment. I might be able to use that XL175, but we'll see. I'd hate to have to ride it in the rain, though. :P

That may be why your dad won't pay for your Milly to be fixed....take a hint and get a job :AH-HA_wink:

Haha... If it were that easy, I would have had one months ago. I want a job, but the circumstances like to bite me in the ass. This is something we've talked about. I think he is just more inclined to buy a motorcycle than put money into a car he thinks I should sell. He's biased, I tell you! :P

Of course he's biased...it is a Mazda after all :P

Nice bike...

and I'm sure that it will run better than the Sunfire it sits next to.. :AH-HA_wink:

Did you have a job when your Japanese Ford WAS running?

(edit: J... jjjjjj-job)

Really, getting a nob would be a good thing. :AH-HA_wink:

Nope and that's why I take the fault for most of my current problems. Had I gotten a job last year before the distributor starting going bad I wouldn't be in the situation.

I already have one, but thanks. :P

Well, at least both of your lawn ornaments are green, they blend in with the grass. :AH-HA_wink:

Seriously, just keep on trying, Vipes. You'll get it.

The bike looks rusted! Speaking of bikes, did you ever think of peddling your a$$ to work? It's only 8 miles, you're over 18, time to grow up and get a job! :P

Go buy a $h!box for a couple hundred that runs, get a job, and then fix the other one.

Arbeit macht frei.

Thats what we've been saying to him for as long as I can remember.

Anyways, how did this get onto the subject of myself getting a job? You're not even telling me something that I'm not aware of. Try that for a change. It's supposed to be about that XL175. I think a total of 2 people commented on it. Bastards. :P:D

Haha... I didn't mention anything about a job at first, Delta did. And thanks. :P

I was merely stating why your dad is being cheap with his cash when it comes to your Milly :P
