July 26, 200718 yr OK. VERY early 1970's this car came out. What was available in it as far as the powertrain went? I read about this car when it first came out, and have never forgotten it as the first brand new car I truly thought was CrAzY.
July 26, 200718 yr The Monteverdi Hai ("Shark") was powered by a mid-mounted Chrysler Hemi 426cid/450hp V8. I always liked Monteverdis, especially the 375 sedan, for some reason.
July 26, 200718 yr That's hot. Looks like one of those pancake-VW powered kit cars. HEMI? Holy cow!!!

July 26, 200718 yr That's the first thing I thought, Camino. It does look like a more professional version of the Bradley GT.
July 27, 200718 yr Author I don't even see a Bradley GT at all, but I know the Monteverdi fairly well, for decades. First time I saw it I was reminded of a Maserati Bora, though I don't really know why. Overall shape I guess. Edited July 27, 200718 yr by CMG
July 27, 200718 yr Author The quarter window/C-pillar/roofline says Bora, no? I thought so. I've always liked Boras.
July 27, 200718 yr Thinking of the Bradley GT, 68? Well yes, and the otehr 24 VW based kit cars they had those years with ME Ferrari-wannabe styling...
July 28, 200718 yr Author Here's an easy one from my photo collection. I would have to guess, and say the Oldsmobile version of the mid 50's Corvette, can't recall it's name though. Cool looking car, whatever it is.
July 29, 200718 yr ... storm-mee wea-ther..... 1959 Cadillac Cyclone, XP-74, minus it's acrylic bubbletop.
July 29, 200718 yr Cars are named so dryly these days... what would you rather drive... a Cadillac XLR or a Cadillac Cyclone?
