The dorkiness of a Shadow magnified by the fact that the driver likely thinks they're cool for having a convertible.

haha funny. so you'd apparently rather drive a ridgeline or a kia amanti then

I'd consider the Ridgeline.. I normally don't like trucks, but the Ridgeline is different enough to be interesting (if Chrysler would offer a version of the Grand Cherokee with a bed like that, I'd be interested).

No way I'd drive a Kia, though.

I'll exclude the Sky.

Actually, after driving in traffic today, I'll change the whole Saturn line-up to the Hyundai Santa Fe and Tucson!

Here is my top 10 list of nerdmobiles.

1. Cadillac Cimarron: What was Cadillac thinking when they cloned the Chevy Cavalier.

2.Cadillac Catera: The Edsel of the late 90s.

3.Chevy Nova: Nova in Spanish means " It wont go."

4. Ford Festiva and Aspire:Found on Road Dead.

5.Ford Pinto.

6.AMC Pacer: The world's ugliest car.

7. Hyundai Excel.

8. Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera: The epitome of a nerdy family car.

9.Toyota Tercel.

10. Yugo: It's either Yugo or you don't. More likely you don't

No GEO METRO???? That is the DORK CENTRAL.

I'm gonna have to agree with smallchevy that Geo Metro ownership is the most effective method of contraception going.

Of currently produced vehicles, I would have to say my Top 10 Dorkmobiles are:

1) Toyota Yaris

2) Honda Fit

3) Honda Ridgeline

4) Jeep Compass

5) Kia Rondo

6) Hyundai Accent

7) Scion xD&xB (old ones were cooler)

8.) Kia Amanti

9) Chevrolet Monte Carlo

10) Toyota Camry (particularly non-SE versions)

Others?

Pontiac G5 (honestly, do I have to say anything?)

Buick LaCrosse

Ford Taurus/Mercury Sable/Ford 500/Mercury Montego (whatever the hell they're calling them this week)

Suzuki Aerio

and more...

i thought the toyota echo was?

I think what makes the Metro special for the loser tag is its availability in different body styles (Coupe, Sedan, Hatch and the ubiquitous Convertible).

It made every loser/dork have a choice to be even more loser/dorkier. Plus, like in those pictures, people customized the hell out of them. It is like a perfect hybrid of American and Japanese car (albeit with all bad qualities of theirs). Perhaps the one of the only few American cars which can get an accolade of "Ricer". And that says a lot.
