August 2, 200718 yr Name this car: Made by one manufacturer but sold by 4 One of those manufacturers no longer exists One of those manufacturers is not doing so well Turbocharged RWD
August 2, 200718 yr Buick GNX. :-P also sold as the Chevy Monte Carlo, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Oldsmobile Cutlass
August 2, 200718 yr Buick GNX. :-P also sold as the Chevy Monte Carlo, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Oldsmobile Cutlass To my thinking, those were all made by the same manufacturer...and SOLD by the same manufacturer, albeit under four different brands. Pontiac and Oldsmobile never offered turbocharged versions.

August 2, 200718 yr This one's bothering me. I thought of one that's been sold by no fewer than 10 manufacturers but not all of them were offered turbocharged...and they were assembled by three or four (maybe more) manufacturers. Are these four "manufacturers" or marketing brands? The "manufacturer" that no longer exists is completely out of business, stopped making/selling vehicles, or not selling/making vehicles for the US?
August 3, 200718 yr Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth Conquest/Mitsubishi Starion? That would be my guess as well.
August 4, 200718 yr I think the manufacturer's thing got me because I would consider Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth to be one..... that's why I made up my answer.
August 4, 200718 yr Author Well, acording to that definition there's only about a dozen manufactureres in existance.
August 4, 200718 yr Well, acording to that definition there's only about a dozen manufacturers in existence. That's probably right
August 4, 200718 yr Author Not trying to be argumenative... I guess I still consider Pontiac & Buick & Cadillac etc. to be separate manufacturers. Six of one, half dozen of other
August 4, 200718 yr Well, acording to that definition there's only about a dozen manufactureres in existance.Actually, there are probably more than 50 manufacturers around the world today...and probably another 100 more assemblers.
