Guess which 2008 sports car will kill its own battery

if left out of gear or in any gear except for Reverse?

That's right unless you leave it in Reverse and if the

Key fob is present the car's battery doesn't engage

run-down protection.

Gotta love modern cars. <_<:angry::rolleyes:

Yup. Manual C6 Corvette.

Wake the F*** up GM.

Clearly it was not designed that way... that would mean the key fob would have to stay in the car all the time.

Guess what?

At a dealership, or in the service dept. the key fob DOES stay w/ the car

at all times. And as was the case with a new salesman who pulled the

used 2006 C6 into the garage last weekm, he didn't notice the big sign

saying "LEAVE THE CAR IN REVERSE" and he managed to kill the battery

on the car.

That's another retard move: no key holes in the door... you gotta use the

hiddden lock by the license plate (pain in the a$$) and then find the pull

lever to spring the door open and THEN you have to get the hood open,

ANOTHER chore that SHOULD be accomplished by just a standard pull if

you ask me, not sure why the I would ever need a POWER hood release?

I hate the 21st century. The typical a$$hole consumer can not parallel park

use his mirrors, signal with a blinker and NOW we're being told by car

companies that the DOORS, HOOD & TRUNK on a car should have a power

release. WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

That reminds me, I took the Cobalt to Home Depot the other day to get some cable clamps. There was a silver C-Class that I had parked next to. On my way out I saw the owner with his key fob trying to unlock the car...I'm guessing either the battery died in the fob or the Mercedes has (shockly!) an electrical glitch.

I thought it was hilarious as I put my old-fashioned key into my car with no power locks or windows and drove off!

All cars should have at least one key hole for teh driver's door in case the electronics fail.

Yeah... apparently these cockheads at all the major

car brands who have been eliminating key-holes

have never heard of murphey's law. <_<
