August 5, 200718 yr Well I picked up a set of ROH Drift-R wheels. They're made in Australia and ROH actually manufacturers wheels for Holden, so these fit very well on GTOs. I also got some all-season Pirelli PZero Nero M+S tires, which are spectacular and totally transform the handling of the car vs. the stock BFG KDWS. They grip the road very well, and are hard to break lose (I have not broken them lose yet, but I have not gone at WOT yet. Still, the stock BFGs would have broken lose at some instances since I've had the Pirellis on). Anyways, here are the pics:
August 5, 200718 yr Not too bad, I've got a friend at school with an '06 GTO (the darker red color) who is looking into similar wheels, but I think they might be a little more dished.
August 5, 200718 yr mmmmmm looks great! I just picked up some Pontiac 5 spoke rims and want to paint them just like those! Great choice!
August 5, 200718 yr Author I don't like black wheels, the design whoever is nice. How much were they? I got them for $500 shipped. They were used, but in good condition. New they are about $1200. They also make them in gray. mmmmmm looks great! I just picked up some Pontiac 5 spoke rims and want to paint them just like those! Great choice! I think mine are powder coated. Not sure of the advantage of power coating vs. painting, but I'd look into it before deciding to do one or the other, if I were you.

They will be for the winter, so I'm trying not to spend too much money on them. Otherwise I would go with the powder coat.

August 6, 200718 yr Redline tires would be even cooler, one of the guys at work has a blk/blk/blk 2002 Camaro Z28 ragtop with redlines.
August 6, 200718 yr Wow ... I really like those, Northie! Congrats . Cort:33swm."Mr Monte Carlo.Mr Road Trip".pig valve.pacemaker WRMNshowcase.lego.HO.model.MCs.RT.CHD = http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort "Only you can do what must be done" ... John Parr ... 'St Elmo's Fire'
August 6, 200718 yr Author Redline tires would be even cooler, one of the guys at work has a blk/blk/blk 2002 Camaro Z28 ragtop with redlines. What are redlines? What widths did you go with? Staggered set? The wheels are 18x8 all around. Staggered would have been cool, but I didn't want to spend the extra money on new ones. GTOs are very hard to find wheels that work (correct offsets) and ROH makes 18x9s that work very well in back, but this is what was available (they were used). 245/40/18 all around for tires. Had these been staggered, I would have ran 275/35/18 out back.
August 7, 200718 yr Before the internet, before Lexus or Acura existed, before radial tires were commonplace Mac-Daddy musclecars came with redline tires. Redline tires (w/ the red pinstripe) are like the Z-rated Pirellis of 1968. Even Hot Wheel cars came in "redline" editions.
August 8, 200718 yr nice gto you got there, black looks good against the silver, set of new carbon fibre mirrors to go with black wheels and smooth the ones out in the front bumper would look tiday as
August 15, 200718 yr I think a GTO would look like a ricer with carbon fiber mirrors. That car is most definately not a ricer. It is in a different league!
August 18, 200718 yr Those look great Northstar. Great choice. I like the polished black with the Silver. Nice touch with the Pontiac center caps. Great shots too!
