Mercedes-Benz 170 H

Im Verlauf der langen Firmengeschichte hat Daimler-Benz auch Mercedes-Modelle gebaut, die nicht ohne weiteres auch als solche zu erkennen sind. Dies hier ist ein Mercedes-Benz 170 H (H steht für Heckmotor) aus dem Jahr 1938. Das zu einem Preis von ca. 4300 Reichsmark angebotene Fahrzeug wurde von einem 1,7 l 4-Zylinder-Motor mit 38 PS angetrieben. Da man sich bei Daimler-Benz über die Marktchancen des Wagens unsicher war, wurde das gleiche Modell als 170 V auch mit Frontmotor verkauft.

something nutty like a 1951 VW SuperBeetle with the

optional and rare "noon-view rollback roof"... :P

I saw a pic of Hitler in one when I was in school, it has stuck in my mind as to why he was in this car. Although if you ever see pics of him in a car it's always Mercedes. Guess he liked them.

Jah, Mercedes for sure. Look at the steering wheel hubs, you see the Tristar.

I guess the steering mechanism in these things

was a hazard if the steel cables for worn/frayed.

1919 AV Monocar/Cyclecar...? That's an ooooldie is it not? I had to google search Cyclecar... I couldn't remember!
