Help Saturn Name its 2009 Colors

A little request from Saturn was e-mailed to me yesterday. Here's an excerpt.

We invite you to share your ideas on what the color names for the 2009 Saturn models should be – you never know, one of your suggestions just may make the cut! Keep in mind, suggestions for the new color names should:

• Support Saturn's personality and positioning
• Relate to things found in nature ... be organic
• Be descriptive enough to bring to mind the color itself

Submit your suggestions by August 22, 2007. Thanks, in advance, for your creativity and for your continued support and passion for the Saturn Brand.

So, fellow C&Gers, lets come up with some good, creative names. Please submit to this thread a name for each color. If you can't think of a good name for each color, that's fine; just submit the ones you can think of. Remember, the deadline is next week, so submit your ideas now! We'll take the best ones and formally submit them on C&G's behalf.

I like ASTRA-nomical names for Saturn, like things in the SKY. And they all have mysterious AURAs.

haha... I thought 7 was grey, then i thot it was green. it looks more green to me.

how about normal color names, like black, blue, green? Nah, marketing would never go for it...

There are several different shades of blue, green, red etc in use.

Twilight Blue is already on the color palette. If they want organic names they should have chosen organic colors.

Pontiac played this same "give us a name for the color" game before the first generation Pontiac Vibe came out. Perhaps Saturn should use some of Pontiac's left over names!

Guess who won 2nd place for the green color and 500 bucks in Travelers checks in that Vibe contest? I had my best friend submit it, because after all I am an employee! 1st place was Envy, 2nd place was Gecko Green.
