My father can. He was a Union pipefitter for many years. He taught me how to use an orbital ARC welding machine when he sold them, but that was years ago.
I can. . . back when I was in high school, The teacher would always give me the welding projects. To this day I still perfer the MIG welder.

i like mig and arc but i can tig outstandingly like tin foil together.
I can MIG and arc weld too. I haven't done it in a couple years, but I did it a lot back in high school for industrial tech projects. I was pretty good at it too.
Got my very own Lincoln SP-125 Plus (had it almost 10 years now), have welded many things on my Buick, many odds & ends plus welded up a pair of 4' x 8' custom design steel balaconies for a house I was working on 2 years back. I haven't TIG'd as of yet but MIG has done everything I've asked it to so far. I would like to get the attachment & give welding aluminum a shot- the Buick has a lot of aluminum pieces on it.

I can Mig, Arc and Fuse.. my father is a shipwelder and I think its in the blood!
I've MIGed a few times. My dad's great at all the welding stuff. I remember him welding panels over the rear side windows of a Nomad for this guy he knew. Looked good too.
Soon as I get a house I'm learning. I've helped Sean a few times. ARC, Mig, Tig... he's even got a classic welder from the 1940s.

Yeah, I hate Slag. I know i need to get Certified but, to much money and time to spend in another class. It is starting to really hurt my eyes to i use shade 10 on the Auto-darkening. I love Auto Darking. Do you guys? I posted this because I was wondering if any one welds here. The only thing about Mig I hate is all the adjustments you have to make.
I can mig and arc weld. I took shop all four years of high school, and never forgot how. (FYI, I can also rebuild an engine, make a birdhouse and work a metal lathe - but can't sew) My exfiance was a pressure pipe welder too, so not that long ago we had a welder, and all the tanks in our garage.
I've welded and used a cutting torch, but not since I left the farm.
