I hate to be a tease but. . . . . . . . .

I was looking around at dealers for 08s the other day and came across the new 08 CTS. I took a picture of it with my cell phone, but have no way of getting it to the computer. I will keep it on my phone til I get to WM and get something to transfer it.

First impressions, beautifully styled and small panel gaps. The seats are muy comfortable. The interior was beautiful with all the panels lining up and the soft touch dash. I liked how it was laid out. The car I sat in listed for a tick over $40K. It did not have the DI 3.6 and had the base wheel design. I really like the new grille. My favorite design cue is the rear flanks of the fenders and bulge out to the back wheels. It gives the car a very muscular look.

I thought I would share the experience, and the pic is coming soon.

I have to buy some kind of attachment that goes from my phone to the computer. Anyone know where I can get one and how much they are?

well most phones if they can take pictures, can also send them... via picture messages aka mms...

also any phone that can send pictures, can also send them to email accounts... not just phones... so how about you give that a try before you go buy something

It didn't come with one? Check your manual (you do have a manual?) and the manufacturers website for accessories. If you have a photobucket account you can email the photos from your phone to your photobucket album email address.

Thanks for the picture! It is a looker even with the front plate thingy.

Your overall impression is positive, but I have a specific question: How are the materials in the lower dash/doors? Soft or hard?

They are hard to the touch, but low gloss and appear very rich looking. The top of the dash is soft touch.

Aha, thanks!

Some Portuguese auto journalist was dispointed at some of the interior materials apparent quality, but anything that isn't BMW, Audi, or Mercedes is not good enough for some of these people...

ZL1, if the Portuguese don't like the interior on the CTS, then they should be complaing about the materials in Mercedes as well because Cadillac and Mercedes are now sharing the same materials supplier.

Exactly! The new C-Class interior looks like crap to me but they've been drooling all over the damn thing...

I sat in one and there are more hard touch services on the new C-class than the new CTS. I like the American design better, it is more visually interesting, less stark, and more intuitive I think.

I think the CTS is awesome, inside and out! Unfortunately, GM still has to conquer the perception barrier.

The criticism that usually applies to Chrysler interiors can be transported to the C-Class interior: it just doesn't look/feel right.

Unfortunately, the perception barrier will take time, but they are going to do it with better and better products.

DCX interiors are cheap, and very stark to me. They arent visually interesting nor are they particularly intuitive. GM's new interiors are far better than both DCX cars and FoMoCo. FoMoCo just tries to blind you with lots of chrome. DCX cars are like crawling into a black hole. GM's new interiors seem to be just right in the glitz, funtionality, and comfort levels.
