Yikes!!!! We had tornadoes here in Michigan too, they believe now that a total of 4 tornadoes were spotted and touched down. Fenton, Holly, Lansing, and Cohoctah got hit pretty bad as well as Howell. My budddies house in Holly somehow escaped damage.

Holy Cow!

The C4 I could give a damn less about... $0.10/dozen.

Wow...glad I couldn't make it. Even more glad that I didn't bring my car.

I'm pretty sure the owner of that C4 cared. Corvette owners love their cars like their own children.

My point is you open up a thread like this worried about the 1 of 2 in existance 1969 ZL1s

or some 1st gen. Fuelie that was on the carousel at Motorama...

ZOIKS! My heart goes out to those killed or injured! What a shame. That had to be a scary situation.

Ouch!

We had a tornado touch down during a Mustang show once but nothing like this happened.

Ignorance is bliss.

I would hate to be one of the owners of the cars damaged. Even worse to have been one of the ones that got hurt, if any did.

Did anyone get hurt...? (I'm at work have not read up on this yet)

Straight line winds,12 treated at fairgrounds, 5 taken to hospital. tree fell on corvette and driver as he was leaving fair grounds.

Good news - surfed around: No deaths. Lots of damage and some injuries. Not a good situation. Looks like quite a few nice cars got hurt. Nothing totally destroyed, but damage none the less.

I know I would be pissed if it were my Corvette. B-59 is right about the '85. It was For Sale by the looks of things, but I don't wish this on anyone..in a G.M.

Dude, wasn't that nuts? I left Lansing around 4:30 and took I-96 to I-696 out to Clinton Township and was in the storm for about 2 hrs straight.. insane!

Well it SUCKS for the people, but to be honest I thought the cars would have sustained more damage. For what hit them it doesn't look like toooo much damage was done to the cars. I think they got away lucky to be honest.

Some nice looking machinery got damaged though, even minor damage sucks.

The people who got injured probably aren't feeling "lucky" though.

But you know, it's pretty inconsiderate to talk down about the owners of less classic Corvettes (or vehicles in general) just because they aren't classic...because they no doubt love their cars.

It's very fortuneate that no one was killed, poor cars though!

Yikes ... I can't imagine being at a show ... and having cars and things damaged by a storm, let alone people injured killed by the same storm at the gathering....

I can only imagine how frightening/scary that was.....

What a heck of a mess. :nono:

Wow what a bummer....but for me it pails in comparison to the F4 that touched down about 50 miles to the north of here on Sunday night. It was over a mile wide they are guessing when it hit the town. Destroyed most of the town. Destroyed the school right before school was scheduled to start on Monday morning. Luckily only one dead, but I doubt they will rebuild, not in the middle of ND anyway.

Agreed. I just thought I'd throw it out there that human injuries aside

if the worst that happened was ONE damaged C4 then it's not quite

time to sound the alarms for the Corvette Enthusiast Community. For

the record there's plenty of super-low milage C4s out the for relative

chump change.

Now if it was a more rare, more collectible, & much more historically

important 1963 split window I'd say it was an utter tragedy a metal

pole dented the roof, I'm not even going to say the gorgeous and

one of one 1965 Mako Shark II concept, but you get the point.

There's a close-up photo in that thread of that ONE bronze C4 as if it

was a 1957 Fuel Injected Vette.

This sucks for the cars damaged, but mostly for the injuries to people. At least no one died.

The C-4 is an under rated car, though. A pain in the arse to get into and out of, but a sweet ride none the less.
