It's kinda sad to look at these pictures...so much optimism back in those days.

I made a B&W photo of my Vette.

Man Balthy, I made sure if it was an art, and DF said it was. I was trying to appreciate genuine black and white photos. :P

You people are boring. :snore:

I haven't done it in a while, but I used to take 35mm B&W photos...I remember taking a roll of pics around the U of Michigan campus when I was there in the mid '90s...B&W instantly makes a scene look older, I think...interesting to play around with, esp. winter shots.

LOL @ Camino Jr. with Rambler wagon.

As far as the other one, it was the 1980s, that was metal hair. :metal:

Speaking of the 1980s:

808 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts: Peter Fuller Cadillac-Oldsmobile. My 1967 Eldorado was one of the last new vehicles to ever grace the floor of its marble-lined showroom as it shut its doors forever the following year. It now belongs to Boston University which uses the opulent showroom for guest speakers and art exhibits, with space for offices upstairs. Across the street and out of view stands 855 Commonwealth Avenue, the former home of Fuller's rival, Noyes Buick. This building is also owned by Boston University (purchased in 1958) and houses their Arts & Sciences department.

And for those of you that may be curious, the dealership in my signature is Scuncio Chevrolet in Greenville, Rhode Island, which sold a fair amount of COPOs and other special GM cars from the muscle era.

Anybody else have any old dealership photos from their neck of the woods?

Where? There's no image.

But I'm assuming you are talking about the 1932 concept that was V-16 powered!

Umm, it works fine.....

Here's a 1910 Simplex for you all too!

I see no Peerless and I see no Simplex but then again our computers

at work here are crap... Lucky we are not still using those 1980s

green screen IBMs they advertised on Dallas BEFORE it was a re-run.

I'm almost kidding.

This photograph alone is enough to make me want a 1958 DeSoto. Why aren't manufacturers making photographs like this anymore?!

I finally found one photo on another site of an old Tulsa dealer. We had a lot of great downtown dealerships housed in 4-5 story buildings. I wish I could find some pics of those.
