So, I went to the Renaissance Faire today. Has anyone else been to one of these things? It was pretty fun I guess, in a cheesy kind of way. Lots of kilts to celebrate Scottish Weekend. Yeah, I was checking out some ppl in kilts, sue me, some of them were dead sexy. I tried some haggis, a traditional Scottish food... a totally disgusting mix of miscellaneous sheep parts, spices ,and what I believe to be rice or something... it turns out looking like gray dog puke *shiver*. Waaay too much food overall, lots of little shows and acts, a jousting tournament with pyrotechnics... all in all, a good day.

When it comes to ethnic food, I tend to stick to my Ukrainian Side rather than the Scottish side of the family... I guess that says something about the food.

I dont blame you there Von. Haggis does not sound tempting to me at all. I'll stick to the Italian, German, and American Indian food here.

I may be mostly Scot, but I've never tried haggis nor worn a Kilt.

I was actually going to go in a kilt, but couldn't find a place to rent one. My dad's grandmother came from Scotland, I'd be interested in researching the family plaid pattern and finding an appropriate kilt to match.

I have to admit, that description makes it less likely that I'll try haggis!

As to the plaid, I haven't been able to determine the right pattern for my family.

Haggi means P**p in Hindi, (India)

Plural may be Haggis.

Smallchevy, didn't see any plumber's cleavage, if that's what you mean (PLENTY of boobie cleavage, though, those corsets had them pushed up to the ladies' chins).

Saw quite a few handsome folks, though, including an acrobat walking around on stilts with a nice, compact, tight body and a moderately hairy chest. Made me wish I were much, much taller.

As for the kilt wearers, it just wasn't breezy enough yesterday, so I'm not sure if everyone was wearing them properly.
