How hard is it to find decent third gen camaro's that haven't been destroyed or rusted to death...talking about maybe a V-8 Manual car...

Chris

Pretty hard actually. IROC's are near impossible to find in non-beaten condition. As of the past two months, I have a strong desire to pick up a third gen. I am between an 89 Iroc Convertible and a '92 Z28...either one would be a great car. Or my Holy Grail of third gens: Black 1986 V8 Berlinetta with T-tops and Digital Dash. If I was to stumble into one of them it would be home in seconds. I would be divorced and homeless, but it would be MINE! :D

They show up on craigslist in detroit every few months..this summer a saw a few for sale.

Lots of special cars going up for sale here in MI......If I was buying a convertible this would be it.

My buddy had a 89 convt stick car that was stolen....he had it in storage w/o wheels and it was dragged100ft on the disc brake rotors....never to be seen again. That was one highly sought after unit.

heres one

there are a bunch w t-tops also checkitout

Ha! One might just be in my future (an IROC). I have to get the money first and then ... well ... :AH-HA_wink:

Glad to see that nice IROC ragtop, mighty mouse. Figure I should have about 6 to 8 thou saved by spring and I am looking/checking out the market now.

I've seen a million beaten to death Camaro's of the third gen flavor come up for sale but very few really nice cars.

Chris

A friend just bought one from the original owner in decent shape for 2500 bucks. 1986 305 auto with everything in it and it all works.

I thought all the Iroc's went to Queens or Brooklyn NY back in the 80's. Every Black one did ( Italian Retards Out Cruising ) Sorry did not mean any offense to my Italian buddies but that was the catch phrase back then lol
