The Saab 9-3 Aero has a turbocharged 2.8 liter V-6 with 247 hp. This is a GM engine made in Australia. Cadillac CTS and SRX will be using the 2.8 V-6 as well.

This is one sharp convertible, the Saab 9-3 Aero convertible, 'Sienfeld' would be proud:

They all look hot. Pity we won't be getting the SportCombi's iced taillights. <_<

Variance, has that been decided yet?....why is it an issue with this vehicle and yet the Lexus RX330 suv has them? It would be a shame to lose these..they give it such distinction.
And I agree, all these Saabs look way hot. When I put this together, I started to become a Saab guy...I am really liking these cars.

Here's how those rear tailights will look in red lenses, the concept:

I read that they wouldn't be coming here in (I believe) an isssue of Road & Track because they aren't approved for US roads. My theory on the RX tails is that they are completely transparent while the SportCombi's are frosted. So on the RX the brake lights are more easily distinguised from the whole taillight cluster. Not 100% sure on that though.
LOVE that steering wheel!

Me too...I like it alot...something a little different...especially for Saab.
The SportCombi is already up on Saab USA without the iced taillamps. Have a look for yourself: Saab.com | 9-3 SportCombi

Thanks Bimmer325. What a shame. These conventional tailights just don't have the same impact as the frosted ones. I wish they would have at least done a clear lense.

Why won't they make this as a traditional coupe? It would rock SO much.

Also gotta agree on the steering wheel. It looks VERY nice.

I agree, would love to see the 9-3 in a coupe. It would be fantastic. Any talented choppers out ther want to make it into a coupe?...would be great to see that.

I made this a while ago. It's actually a 'chopped sedan that I thought a current 9-3 Viggen would look like.

Excellent. Really like the Infinity symbol :). That is a great chop. It looks very convincing. I always like the tie-in with skiing and outdoor lifestyle with Saab.
That's Malibu, Ventura, and Los Angeles CA for you ladies and gents; I love those places for thier wonderful natural presence. These Saabs are sweet. I love that Saab consistently updates thier cars with subtle changes, like slightly changed wheels. Saab is always on the cutting edge of interior and exterior design trends.

I like this!

It would be nicer if you replaced the infiniti logo for the Viggen logo!
Actually, the Infiniti symbol is just a watermark is used to use for my photochops. :)
Wasn't the 9-3 supposed to have a refreshed front end for this year?
