October 2, 200718 yr Light truck sales were led by the all-new Tundra full-size pickup with best-ever September sales of 19,571, an increase 61.4 percent over the year-ago month. IT'S NOT THE SAME TRUCK!
October 2, 200718 yr looks like the 'chosen elite's' pocketbooks are starting to get hit too. Odyssey is really socking it to the sienna. RAV4, CRV, the cute ute segment is exploding. toyota sucks. i hope this is a double digit decline next month. look how many of their models are down. Fine by me. Edited October 2, 200718 yr by regfootball
October 2, 200718 yr All of Toyota's sales in North America are being kept afloat by the Camry, Tundra, Pruis and ES? Even the RX is down 6% and the Enclave hasn't even fully hit it's stride yet.
October 2, 200718 yr They still manage to shove "best evars!" down our throats Best EVAR! for Scion too. Look at that... the xD sold 300 less than the xA it replaced. The entire division is down.... a LOT. If this were a domestic brand there'd be editorials demanding it's closure faster than you could say "Mercury"
October 2, 200718 yr Avalon sucks algae yet again. Avalon < ES350 < Lucerne 6066 < 6491 < 8505 And even giving Lucerne a 22% fleet draw, its still 6634 units compared to the Lexotas.
October 3, 200718 yr This is good news the new Malibu, Tahoe Hybrid, G8, CTS, Enclave, Vue, and Astra need to hit it hard to keep GM on top and increasing sales.
October 3, 200718 yr Months ago people were gloating that the Yaris was "the right car for the right time" and "an example of Toyota thinking ahead". As if it was pulled out of thin air? It is just a restlyed Echo, it still has the crap center gauges! The drop shows that buyers are comparing B class cars and seeing the nee Echo as not worht the "Toyota premium price".
October 3, 200718 yr It still amazes me that they manage to sell 30K Crapolla's a month! They must be selling at least 50% of those to fleet. I've driven a lot of rental cars and the only ones I hated getting more than the Crapolla were the Sunfire and just about any Kia. The Sunfire is long dead and even the Kia's are probably better than the Crapolla now. Edited October 3, 200718 yr by 2QuickZ's

October 3, 200718 yr Looks like the new xB isn't striking a cord with buyers.Probably related to that Motor Trend review where they said it has grown big and ungainly.
October 3, 200718 yr Yaris = Echo = Tercel My partner had a 96 Tercel. Horrible little car. No wonder they keep changing the name...... Great job toy-Ota, keep up the good work! Months ago people were gloating that the Yaris was "the right car for the right time" and "an example of Toyota thinking ahead". As if it was pulled out of thin air? October 4, 200718 yr Looks like the new xB isn't striking a cord with buyers. Nor should it. Toyotas marketing people really missed the boat on that one. Chris
October 4, 200718 yr Wow, Yaris is down. I haven't so much as sat in one, but I've only heard that they're pretty cheap all around. Good if you want to get great mileage on the manual shift one though.
