October 11, 200718 yr I nearly demolished a Saab 9-3 convertible last night..... but if I had, he would have deserved it. We're on a two lane, one way road coming up to a light. At the light your options are proceed straight or make a right if you're in the right hand lane... and only straight if you're in the left hand lane. Note that no matter which lane you're in, you can go straight. I'm in the right hand lane following this Saab, no one is in front of him, when about 50 yards before the light he decides that he needs to be in the left hand lane RIGHT f@#kING NOW. Of course there is traffic in the left hand lane already so he just slams on his brakes and puts his signal on.... apparently oblivious to the 6,000 lbs of Chevy truck a mere 4 car lengths behind him. It has just started raining so the roads were slick. The ABS struggled to keep the wheels from locking up. I have never come so close to hitting someone without actually hitting them. Less than 4 inches between our vehicles.
October 11, 200718 yr I almost got kissed by the curse too in the Cavalier yesterday... Some chick was texting while driving her Nissan Sentra and she didn't see me stopped a the light until really late, keep in mind this was at 70KPH as well. She left rubber on the pavement and squealed the tires when she was trying to stop... She came within less than a foot of smashing into me and the expression on her face from the rearview mirror was one of shock, just like mine.
October 12, 200718 yr PA drivers! I hate it when people decide to do that...and goodness, I wish these people were only contained in one state. I must say, though, Delaware drivers are becoming notorious about this. Maybe it's because Sussex and southern Kent Counties are the geriatric wards of the mid-Atlantic.
October 12, 200718 yr I'd just put a massive push bar on the front of the Av and let the chips fall where they may.
October 13, 200718 yr If you guys think that is bad...you should come visit Michigan sometime..... This happens every day.... Between this and our well cared for roads ( ), it's surprising that cars last for more than five years here....
October 13, 200718 yr The scary part is that since I was at the end of the traffic line, if I was driving the MAXX or Venture, she would have hit me sure.
October 23, 200718 yr probably wanted to see how effective Saab's active head restraint is -> yup i agree perhaps this blog may help: Saab News
