October 24, 200718 yr Wow, I'm glad they put the problem in perspective for me there at the end. I feel much safer now.
October 24, 200718 yr What tool spends 31k on a Tacoma?!? if you look through that second link, many of the Tacomas have under 5,000 miles.
October 25, 200718 yr 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA CUSTOMER STATES THAT THE GLARE OFF THE REAR SLOPING HOOD SCOOP WAS A SAFETY HAZARD**CC *JB You got some brain surgeons there buying your trucks, don't you Toyota. You better stop offering hood scoops and ground effects because the elderly are easily confused. Stick to vanilla.
October 26, 200718 yr Strike 1,2, and 3 with the Tundra. Tacoma problems. Does Toyota even know how to bulid trucks? Of course not.
October 26, 200718 yr So now Toyota has had severe problems on: Corolla - engine sludging Camry - engine sludging, transmission failures, homicidal floor mats Avalon - transmission issues Sienna - engine sludging, transmission issues, door issues 4Runner - ball joint failures, steering linkage failures Tundra - already been discussed at length Tacoma - the subject of this thread, I remember something about not having an airbag disable switch too previous gen RAV-4 - Engine sludging, FJ - subframe cracking Have I missed any? edit: I tend to forget the FJ in it's entirety. October 26, 200718 yr I think it is a herd effect just as Toyota's superior build quality was. But in this case, it is the truth. The slew of recalls made sheep people think that Toy was suddenly POS, and not to be left behind are harranguing to find problems for their vehicles. Few years ago they were the same blokes who used to be proud that Toy fixed their vehicles while offering them pizza or hot dogs and then asked them to call Toy stellar build vehicle.
October 26, 200718 yr So now Toyota has had severe problems on: Corolla Camry Avalon Sienna 4Runner Tundra Tacoma previous gen RAV-4 FJ Have I missed any? edit: I tend to forget the FJ in it's entirety. I hadn't heard of problems with some of those - can you add the problem(s) with each vehicle to your list?
October 26, 200718 yr I hadn't heard of problems with some of those - can you add the problem(s) with each vehicle to your list? Besides the fact that they are all Toyotas? What else do you need?
October 26, 200718 yr I hadn't heard of problems with some of those - can you add the problem(s) with each vehicle to your list? updated.
October 26, 200718 yr updated. tnx. Really sad (in a kinda funny way) when it's all listed out like that.
October 26, 200718 yr Author So now Toyota has had severe problems on: Corolla - engine sludging Camry - engine sludging, transmission failures, homicidal floor mats Avalon - transmission issues Sienna - engine sludging, transmission issues, door issues 4Runner - ball joint failures, steering linkage failures Tundra - already been discussed at length Tacoma - the subject of this thread, I remember something about not having an airbag disable switch too previous gen RAV-4 - Engine sludging, FJ - subframe cracking Have I missed any? edit: I tend to forget the FJ in it's entirety. You left out the Prius and complaints of unintended acceleration possibly due to the same drive-by-wire system as the Tacoma. Also, there were complaints of the traction control system causing the car to stall out in snowy weather. Edited October 26, 200718 yr by mustang84
