The reason all of GM's SEMA pics are the way they are is cost.

It's way cheaper to shoot everything in a studio and then drop the car into a background with photoshop. Which is, of course, what they've done.

Shooting each car on location would cost quite a bit more. You've got transport for all the cars to the various locations, car prep crews, lighting crews, security, yada, yada....

Anyhow...Im not saying it's a good or bad thing to do. Just explaining why they do it.

Interesting, yet edmunds seems to be able to nab far superior photos.

Considering a lot of us members can take better photos than GM it's pretty sad. Just give us a good camera.

There are people who couldn't figure this out on their own?

Sure seems like it, yea.

I deal with a lot of press photos, and believe me, none of them are any better than GM's and many are a lot worse. What's with this fashion of photographing everything in low light? It's like they don't want you to see what the thing looks like. If it's that bad why design it like that in the first place?

Maybe BV could do the photography... then he can get the Millenia fixed and afford gas for his Cutlass :P.

Hmm...so do I and I disagree.

And, in some cases, the camera doesn't really matter.... I know people can take great pics, no matter the camera with which they have to work.

And, vonV ... whole-heartedly agree about BV!
