What's Edmunds' take?

If you're into throwing around such literary gems as "Hoss" and "Big Tex," this truck will make you put your 10-gallon hat on your chest and kneel down in homage. And we like it. Heck, it'd be un-American not to. — James Tate, Contributor

 That statement is so wrong in MANY ways.

Agreed... That statement is wrong in many ways.

All of that heavy driveline is built in sharp contrast to the decals littering the body. On the tailgate it reads "Do not exceed 100 pounds" On the roof of the truck it states "do not place ANYTHING on the roof of the truck heavier than dust or damage will occur!"

That shifter should be popular with pole dancers everywhere!

Statements like those makes Toy American.

Toyota Tundra Dually... for when you want to look like your truck can do work, but feel like your sitting in a bad 1970s night-club

I think I just pee'd a little I laughed so hard..... all I saw was this.

Toyota+Diesel = :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

LOL at 256 hp. Try again Toyota. :pbjtime:

In its defense though, it does make 745 lbs of torque at 1500 rpm.

It looks better on the outside than the current one, but it's basically a good engine attached to a junk truck.

The back end of that thing looks like a woman's ass after she's had 8 kids. Them's some serious breedin hips on that truck!

Yeah, those HUGE wheels with tiny tires will really make hauling easy, construction sites accessible and spares real cheap. And I'm sure that short bed will hold everything your average weekend pool supply buyer puts in the crew cab anyway.

It's an inline 6 diesel....what do you expect? They're all torque. The 745 ft lbs ought to be enough for anything imaginable. It has 85 more ft lbs than the diesels in the Super Duty or Silvy HD and those both have motors with 8 cylinders.

Concept.....concept.

For now, yes.

Dodge's Cummins inline 6 diesel was putting out 325 HP 4 years ago. As a production engine.

The Hino has 95 more ft lbs than the Cummings. The diesel in the Tundra IS a production motor. It's normally in Hino's 35k lbs commercial trucks. All they did was tune it a little.

Yeah.... and the Cummings is not 8-freeki liters either.

The Hino's torque numbers are high, but not 8.0 liters

of diesel high. Either way this thing is a joke. Toyota

needs to fix ripping body seams, exploding camshafts

& a ton of other *cough-cough sludge* problems

before they try their hand at the heavy Duty truck

market.

Oh Snap!!!

So... with all that torque, if you leave the parking brake on, does it just twist the bed off?

 :rotflmao:
