November 11, 200718 yr If you have the aluminum wheels with the simple center cap (just a round cap with the bowtie), I could really use the measurements of the cap and a pic of the back of the cap. Thanks in advance.
November 11, 200718 yr Author Yes it would Fly, if the wheels are the same. I just need the measurements.
November 11, 200718 yr Sounds like you'll be chopping them as that cap appears to be one piece. Edited November 11, 200718 yr by BigPontiac
November 11, 200718 yr I think that's the first cap I found that was 2 5/8" across. They seem to fit this wheel:
November 11, 200718 yr Author I think that's the first cap I found that was 2 5/8" across. They seem to fit this wheel: That's a different cap. It's flat, so it won't work for what I want to do. The diameter is also too small. I'm worried that the other ones might be too small in diameter as well.
November 11, 200718 yr Count me out of helping. I was thinking of my girlfriend's Blazer, but they have totally different wheels than the above - mid-90s Sonoma brushed aluminums with black center caps completely covering the lugs.
November 11, 200718 yr I wondered these S-10 ZR2 wheel caps might work. The wheel center looks larger.
November 11, 200718 yr They look promising! Here's a link to his auction. Maybe if you wrote to him, he'd measure for you. link
November 11, 200718 yr Author There are several options on this page that might work. http://www.ehubcap.com/search_results.asp?...arch=fromSearch Now I just need some measurements.
November 12, 200718 yr I've got some right out in the garage I can get specifics from. Just tell me what you wanna see. But if you want them, all you have to do is just name a price. Edited November 12, 200718 yr by YellowJacket894
November 12, 200718 yr Author YJ: I'm looking for the overall diameter and the clip to clip measurements of the cap. It would be great if you could get those for me!
November 14, 200718 yr Lets see ... I think the cap is 6.5 inches in diameter and the distance from clip to clip is about 6 inches. I'll triple check that for you when I get another free moment, Camino. And if you need anything else S-Series related, just shoot me a PM. Edited November 14, 200718 yr by YellowJacket894
November 14, 200718 yr Author Thanks YJ, your timing is excellent. I just finished the wheels today (pics shortly). Sounds like BP was right and those centers are all one piece? I'm just trying to find a cap like the ZR2 wheels have. If yours do detach, then they might do the job - but it looks like only the ZR2 style do that. Hope I'm wrong.
November 14, 200718 yr Do you mean the center caps on my aluminum wheels? If so, I believe they are all one piece. Sorry, Camino. Try the ZR2 center caps. They might be two separate pieces; I'm not totally sure.
November 14, 200718 yr Here's a 2nd auction for ZR2 wheels. A 2nd person to ask to measure the caps! Auction link
November 14, 200718 yr Author I looked at the wheels on a ZR2 S-10 Blazer today and I really think these caps would work. I won't know for sure until I can get a clip to clip measurement, but it looks like they are what I need. Unfortunately, they are rediculously expensive.
